JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: ColourWheel Art Class - Part Time Art Teacher – Welwyn & St Albans

TERMS: 2x three hours classes, 1 day per week & 1x two hour evening class one day per week

BRIEF: ColourWheel Art Class is a nationwide franchised art school for adults. Our mission is to provide inspirational art learning experiences to our students through teaching a high-quality syllabus in conducive locations. We are currently looking for a replacement teacher for our established Welwyn & St. Albans franchise who will teach from our predefined syllabus to a class of mixed skill students. Classes will be restricted to 20 students.

REQUIRED SKILLS
• Effective and clear communicator with strong classroom presence
• Possess excellent subject knowledge
• Intelligent, energetic and convincing
• Ability to proactively promote the classes, courses and events to students
• To maintain a courteous and helpful manner at all times
• To prepare lesson plans with the support of the course administrator
• To assist with curriculum development
• Must have excellent organisational skills
• Problem solving in the absence of the Partner
• Possess at least two years’ experience in a similar role

THE ROLE:
The duties below represent the main tasks undertaken by the Teacher

• Plan and deliver a variety of entertaining and engaging art classes using different mediums
• Build strong relationships with students
• Ensure that pupils are taught in a happy, safe and stimulating environment
• Giving feedback on student’s progress at the end of each course
• Keep all teaching materials up to date
