Summer Happy Holidays Programme

Summer Happy Holidays Programme

This summer, Hertfordshire County Council, the Herts Sports Partnership and Hertfordshire Community Foundation will once again join forces to deliver healthy food alongside sport and physical activity, under the name ‘HAPpy: Hertfordshire’s Holiday Activity Programme. The programme is open to children and young people aged 5 to 16 who are in receipt of benefits-related free school meals and aims to tackle the triple inequalities of holiday hunger, physical inactivity and social isolation.

We are running one last webinar on Tuesday 11 May at 10am, during which we will focus on answering questions from existing applicants, as well as explaining the project to anyone new to HAPpy. For this final session, we would particularly like to hear from those within the creative arts, museum and library sectors.

Could you run a summer holiday project as part of HAPpy?
You could run something:
• In the evenings, perhaps 5pm-9pm and include dinner
• Just for one day, as long as it is a minimum of four hours
• Early in the morning, and include breakfast
• Once a week

There are so many combinations!

Applications close on Friday 14 May
