Launch of www.creativesomerset.com

We are delighted to be launching this brand new resource for all the talented creative people of Somerset. It follows the excellent example set by www.creativetorbay.com and www.creativewestsussex.com and spreads the love to another beautiful area of the country!

Whether you are yourself a creative professional or run a creative business or organisation or simply someone who likes to look, listen, watch and experience the huge range of arts and cultural goings on across Somerset then this site is for you.

Creatives of all kind - from photographers, to artists, to web designers and architects, and everything in between - are invited to sign up and make themselves a profile so that anyone and everyone can find about them and their work. Just click the 'Join' link on the top right menu to get started.

Just like on www.creativetorbay.com once a member you can generate all kinds of creative content for the site - upload your latest track if you are a band, list your upcoming event or exhibition, let the creative world know about a job that has come up in your organisation, or tell everyone your exciting creative news! All content is user generated so the site is written and updated by you all for you all!

If you don't need a profile but want to keep up-to-date on all things creative in Somerset, then just visit the site regularly and/or sign up for our weekly newsletter of all the site's top picks.

Huge thanks to everyone who has helped get us this far - from the multi-talented Alison Jacobs who designed the graphics, to Andy and the team at Assembly Studios with all their techy brilliance, to our funders and partners at Making the Links, Artlife, Somerset County Council's Creative Industries Development Fund, and West Somerset, Taunton Deane and Sedgemoor Councils. But most importantly thanks to all the brilliant creative folk of Somerset, for their input, enthusiasm and effort to make this a success. Enjoy!
