Folkstock Christmas Indoor Festival at Hertford Corn Exchange

Do come along, whenever you can just drop in, to our free 'christmas present' to you - a lovely day of great acoustic music starting at 2pm on Sunday 8th December at the Hertford Corn Exchange. In aid of Folkstock Arts Foundation and The Muscle Help Foundation who are based in Buntingford, doors are at 2pm. We have a great line up starting with 12 yr old Josiah Handpan who is going to be playing his beautiful and mesmerising compositions, there's some stunning singer songwriters, such as Minnie Birch - sublime and haunting, Roxanne de Bastion ( whose pic graces the whole page at the front of the venue section of the Hertfordshire Mercury this week ) and Jess Morgan travelling to us from Norwich with distinctive voices and gorgeous songs, Kelly Oliver who is performing her just released EP for us ( which you may have heard some of on BBC Three Counties Radio Tues lunchtime last week ) and a few bands who are familiar to the venue including Nick and the Sun Machine and the local hero's Suburban Dirts. If you like 40's inspired harmonies do catch Genie and the Jivebombers on just after 5pm ( whose fly on the wall video had over 1000 shares on fb in three days ) and there's the country/blues angle covered with Jo Bywater coming to us from Liverpool on her EP launch tour, Garry Smith with his shiny 'slide' guitar, which I believe is a resonator, and Marina Florance from Norfolk reeling from two successes on Tom Robinson's Fresh Faves selections in as many months. Indi Forde will wow us with his Hendrix - esqe tracks in the early evening and there's going to be a party atmosphere with some well known tracks, in addition to those from their critically acclaimed just released album, to round off the evening with Suburban Dirts from 9.30.
