Grandey's Place Heritage Craft Centre

Grandey's Place Heritage Craft Centre

As an initiative set up by Clive Beecham, Grandey’s Place Heritage Crafts Centre near Much Hadham in Hertfordshire will be home to up to 25 craftspeople. The idea behind the scheme is to help and encourage traditional and contemporary crafts people by offering purpose built studios and workshops, some at subsidised rates. The Centre will also provide a teaching space and a bookable meeting/conference room. The totally refurbished centre, which is set in beautiful countryside is due to be completed this summer/autumn with the first five tenants taking up residence soon after. There will be space available for craftspeople who wish to expand or relocate or those who just like the idea of working near like-minded people in a creative and professional environment.
The centre is also supported by the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust and by the Heritage Crafts Association. They are very keen to provide spaces for traditional craftspeople especially, but not exclusively, those who work in endangered crafts. You do not need to be connected to QEST or the HCA in order to apply. More information about the craft centre can be found in the link below
