Eclectic is a typeface based on the Futurist movement and Gino Severini. This started as a University project to design a word based on Gino Severini. I then developed the word (Eclectic) into a typeface - using pointillism and cubism as a basis of the appearance. I broke the letterforms into bits and reassembled them as abstractly as I could without the letters being unrecognisable to represent the Cubism side of the art movement.
