Testimonials:
‘Andrew Mallen is an outstanding teacher and practitioner both in acting training and drama understanding in general. I have seen Andrew have quite remarkable results in bringing out young peoples potential to a professional standard in his shows and inspirational education projects. By far, though, the most impressive element of his teaching is his effect on the self esteem and happiness of the students that he gives so much to’.

Master-craft will offer rolling 6 week courses on Saturdays from beginners to advanced. Each class will provide student the opportunity to acquire and practice their acting skill, ensuring they feel comfortable and get the most out of the course.
Acting classes will consist of rehearsing and performing scenes each week. By which students will gain an all-round practical understanding of the art of acting, enabling different approaches to theatre from modern to Shakespeare to Ibsen, Chekhov, Brecht and Beckett. Developed from Stanislavski, our course will train students in the actor’s art of creation and expression – the ability ‘to create the inner life of a human spirit and to express it in artistic form’. They will develop imagination in order to create believable characters, emotional sensibility to respond to dramatic situations, and capacity to understand human motivations and behaviors. An essential part of the training will involve interplay – working jointly with other artists to create pieces of theatre.
