Quorum Singers of St Albans

Quorum Singers of St Albans Quorum Singers of St Albans

Quorum was founded in September 1989 to sing at the celebrations for the opening of the Dagnall Street Baptist Church, Cross Street Centre, St Albans. Now well known in the St Albans area, the choir enjoys a good reputation for the tonal quality of its a capella singing.

Constituted as a Charitable Organisation, the choir has raised many thousands of pounds for local and national charities including Childline, Macmillan Cancer Relief, Parkinsons Disease Society, Big C Appeal, British Heart Foundation, Cynthia Spencer Hospice, Teenage Cancer Trust, Ataxia-Telangiectasia Society, Children of China Foundation.

In June 2008 and again in June 2010 the choir featured with the South Wales Male Choir in concerts at St Albans Cathedral in aid of The Willow Foundation.

The choir members are a friendly group of ladies and men, singing mainly in four SATB parts, both unaccompanied and with organ or keyboard accompaniment.
