‘A Sense of Place’ is an exciting new film competition, challenging young people between the ages of 7-19 (up to 25 with special educational needs) living in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Luton, Essex and North Kent (this includes Dartford, Gravesham, Medway and Swale) to make a film in 8 weeks.

Film and TV industry professionals will judge the films and winners will be invited to an award ceremony to receive a £500 prize.

The competition has been developed by the Royal Opera House Bridge, is supported by Elstree Studios, and delivered by Elstree Film Design Ltd. It aims to encourage work in collaboration with students, schools and community groups.

There are four award categories. Best Interpretation, Best Story, Best Look and Best Sound. Judges will be looking for a mixture of creative and technical accomplishment.

If you are interested in entering please complete an expression of interest form which can be found on the competition website http://filmcompetition.org.uk/. Here you will find more information about how to enter, the categories, judges and competition terms and conditions.
