Introduction to Church History

Explore the history of the Church in this 10-week introductory course.
This course covers the history of the Christian Church in a broadly chronological manner. Each of the sessions will focus on a particular period of church history from the first century to the present day. Within each session, time will be given not only to key dates, events, individuals and movements, but also to art, architecture, liturgy, and, where possible, music. The course will focus on Western church history, but include material relating to the Orthodox Churches and to Christianity in Africa, Asia and South America, as well as Europe and North America.

This course can be taken as part of the Certificate in Theology

Price: £110

Dates and time: Thursdays 24 Sept - 10 Dec (excl 29 Oct and 26 Nov).

Participants will be able to join the event from 7.15pm on the first night of the course, thereafter from 7.25pm.

Venue: Online via Zoom.

As this course will be hosted over Zoom, participants will need access to a computer/laptop/tablet/phone which has audio in order to be able to hear. In order to participate fully, a web camera and microphone are also advised.
