Temporary Contemporary - an invitation to collaborate

Temporary Contemporary - an invitation to collaborate

Temporary Contemporary was launched in May 2018 to initiate collaborations and creative interventions in Queensgate Indoor market. This has led to several vacant spaces within the market being populated with exhibitions and cultural activity, including Parlour, a new space created by Parley. Our Temporary Contemporary Happenings take place once a month to preview new projects, events, live music and performances.

We are at a stage in this creative process where we are looking for collaborations with different businesses and organisations (arts, cultural, community-led) and to work with some of the vacant spaces in the market. We would like you to help us build a cultural ecology in this environment: to share, celebrate and make more visible our respective projects and practices.

We would like to invite you to join us for an informal drop-in at Parlour to discuss Temporary Contemporary and possible ideas for it. This is an open call for collaboration. We want to hear from you about how we could collectively generate opportunities to better enrich the arts and cultural ecology within the market.

Date: Tuesday 12 February, 2 - 5pm
Venue: Parlour in Queensgate Market

Sign up to see us on 12 February, between 2 and 5pm in Parlour (by Parley). You will have a chance to meet the Temporary Contemporary team, receive a tour of the market and some of the vacant spaces and discuss possible creative interventions and enjoy tea, coffee and cake provided at Parlour.

Please register your interest at Eventbrite to give us an idea of who is coming:
