Joan Castleman (Glenn Close) has spent the last forty years being a devoted wife to her Joe (Jonathan Pryce), a celebrated author. She has sacrificed her own literary ambitions, as well as ignoring Joe’s numerous infidelities to preserve both their marriage and Joe’s career. Joan however begins to question her choices when Joe is nominated for the Nobel Prize for Literature, and contemplates confronting the secrets of Joe’s Career.
