Make it Beautiful presents IMPROV TO TEXT

Using the skills of long-form improvisation to help breathe life into text.

Why is it that when we're children, playing and running around, we can reach that flow-state of fun so easily? But as we grow older, it can be harder. Improvisation can unlock this flow-state of joy once again - even when faced with text.

From the same company that brought long-form improv workshops last year, join Make It Beautiful Theatre Company for an immersive journey into the world of long-form improvisational storytelling and how we can use the joy it brings to pump new life into text.

Over several sessions, we'll explore how to improvise, how to have fun within the boundaries of long-form improv and, eventually, how to use that fun when speaking text. Why is it that the moment text is used onstage we can freeze up and forget the joy of play? This series of workshops will be tackling that head on.
