Porsche Muscle Dreams at Silverstone

A very special Porsche Muscle Dreams programme organised by The Muscle Help Foundation saw seven boys with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) from across the UK enjoy the thrill of a lifetime courtesy of the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone. As a result of a nationwide competition seeking 'serious petrol-heads', the boys and their families were treated to an unforgettable experience both on and off the track. The exclusive Whittlebury Hall near Silverstone hosted the families for an all expenses paid stay that included lunch, a special group dinner in the magnificent Bentley Suite and a scrumptious full english breakfast the following morning. The highlight of the programme included a fleet of stunning Porsche 911's, loads of 'launch controls' (screeching from a standing start and accelerating as fast as the car will go) for each of the lucky beneficiaries, time around the Centre's own track, a visit onto the skid pan and ice hill culminating with a speedy circuit around the world famous Silverstone race-track. Additionally, there was an off-road Porsche Cayenne experience up and down some very steep climbs! All the boys received an assortment of merchandising gifts from the Porsche Experience Centre as well as an array of carefully chosen gifts as part of the charity's personalised Muscle Dream goody-bags - these have become a special signature feature of the charity, usually room-dropped as an additional surprise! And finally ... a unique gift of a beautifully framed photograph depicting Sir Stirling Moss and signed by the motor-racing legend himself was presented by Michael McGrath (the charity's co-founder and Chief Muscle Warrior) - each photograph included a different message for each of the seven Muscle Dream beneficiaries.
