'Going for Gold' art workshops
Looking for something creative to occupy your time this Easter holiday?
Broxbourne Borough Council's Community Team are bringing 'Going for Gold'- an event celebrating the Legacy of the Olympic Games, to two town centres in Hertfordshire this April.
Monday 7th April- Waltham Cross Town Centre- 1-4pm
Tuesday 8th April- Hoddesdon Town Centre- 1-4pm
As part of these sport filled events, I will be running an interactive patchwork project over the two day period, inviting the public to drop in and take part in creating colourful, textile 'patches' based on the Olympic Games. We will use sporting heroes/heroines and the history of the Games as inspiration, to name a few!
All the materials you'll need to get creative will be provided, and you will be invited to add you artwork to a giant, collaborative piece of patchwork, which will later be displayed to the public.
The activity is free, suitable for all ages and will be a fun opportunity to take part in creating some public art! Just bring your imagination!
