Making a Mark, Exhibition at Courtyard Arts Gallery, Hertford

Making a Mark, Exhibition at Courtyard Arts Gallery, Hertford

This jewel of an art centre located near the centre of Hertford is hosting an exhibition not to be missed. Six artists representing various disciplines from watercolour to stitched textiles via printmaking and mixed media have come together to express their individual approaches to mark making. These are artists who show both nationally and internationally and are proud to come together to present a visual feast of an artistic conversation.

See the dense, rich, pleated and stitched textiles of Caroline Bartlett and the cool white, fragile textiles of Flea Cooke. The watercolours of Alfred Huckett describe music transformed into paint whilst Anita Ford’s monoprints and paperworks describe struggles in life overcome. Esther Wragg presents her impressions of landscape and ancient culture with both wall pieces and free standing work, and Steve Wragg his colourful visual comments on life.

All of these artists are Making their Mark. Make sure you see it.
