Ware Poets - Poetry evening with acclaimed poet Daljit Nagra

Ware Poets are delighted to welcome Daljit Nagra as our guest poet.

Daljit is Professor of Creative Writing at Brunel University, Vice President of the Royal Society of Literature, Fellow of Society of Authors, and presenter of Poetry Extra on Radio 4 Extra. He has published several poetry collections, won many awards, and been shortlisted twice for the TS Eliot Prize.

Daljit’s poems are studied in schools and are on GCSE and A level curricula, so this is a great opportunity for students as well as adults to hear his poetry in person.

As usual, the first half of the evening will be open mic, so feel free to bring a poem to read. (One poem only, please, and avoid lengthy ones). There's no obligation to read, listeners are also very welcome.

Friday 9th October: 8-10pm, doors open 7.45pm.
Tickets: £5 general, £3 for students age 19-24, free for age 18 & under
