Freelance Bid Writer // Fundraiser

We are looking for a part-time freelance fundraiser/ bid writer to begin working alongside the team, writing and researching successful funding bids to develop the work of the organisation.

Proper Job Theatre Co. is seeking a freelance Fundraising Manager to support and lead on all aspects of fundraising for the company with a particular focus on our community education work. This role will see you work closely on developing fundraising opportunities, researching and writing bids based largely around our LAB Project [see website]. You will also work alongside our company director and support their fundraising activity, copy checking and creating funding strategies to best support the needs of the organisation.

Essential Skills

Excellent communication and writing skills.
Proven success in both small and large scale community focussed bids (up to £300,000).
Excellent skills in building and sustaining relationships with funders/trusts and foundations.
Good knowledge of funding landscape across Yorkshire and the North West (where the majority of our projects are based).
Strong organisational skills.
Strong and confident negotiation skills.

Desirable Skills:

An established network of funders/trusts and foundations.
Previous proven experience writing tenders/bids for local council money/NLDC/SFA/Big Lottery/Clinical Commissioning Groups/Public Health etc.
Experience of working in a similar role for a charity.


This role is a part-time freelance position, with a day rate of £100-£125 (depending on experience).
