Call for young artists: Young Masters School Exhibitions 2018

Call for young artists: Young Masters School Exhibitions 2018

* Does your school have a passion for the arts?

* Would you like to showcase your creativity to the wider community?

* Is promoting positive mental health and well being in children and young people important to you?

If so, we would love to work with you!

Artistsmeet, the Council’s contemporary art gallery in Rickmansworth is seeking submissions of work from Three Rivers schools for two Open Exhibitions, set to take place in March and April 2018.

Young Masters will give local primary and secondary schools the opportunity to showcase artwork that promotes positive mental health and wellbeing, with the specific theme being ‘my happy place’.

All disciplines are welcomed, including but not limited to painting and drawing, photography, ceramics and sculpture, textiles and mixed media.
We aim to display a contribution from all schools that enter; you could include existing work or give yourselves a challenge and create something new! All we require is that the work explores and reflects our theme.

The exhibition will give schools such as yourselves exposure and it’s a wonderful way to showcase the high quality artwork that you create in lessons and art clubs.
Importantly it also gives the children, young people and their families a chance to appreciate seeing their artwork in a contemporary gallery space.
Our local community always enjoy exhibitions with work from children and young people, so we anticipate lots of visitors!

There is no fee to enter or exhibit, but schools must read and sign the full terms and conditions ahead of the exhibition, where work has been selected for display.

For information about the exhibition, key dates for submission and the entry form, please contact Elaine Johnson, Arts Development Officer / 01923 776611

We look forward to hearing from you!
