Frances Williams exhibition: 'Imagining Reality' Open Studios

September welcomes the annual celebration of Open Studios across the county, a well-established programme of events and exhibitions organised by Herts Visual Arts which sees artists, craftmakers and designers opening their doors to the public- to share their skills, network and to sell their work.

Artistsmeet are pleased to be a new host venue for this year’s event and will be featuring work from Rickmansworth based artist Frances Williams, with ‘Imagining Reality’.

Frances constantly looks for ways to explore reality, whether of nature, architecture or everyday objects. She wants to push the boundaries of representation to reveal what is of particular interest.

Frances specialises in designing with wax and painting with inks on tissue paper, making framed works and a wide range of greetings cards.

She also works on cotton producing wall hangings, individually designed lampshades, cushion covers and other smaller items.
