Get outdoors and explore your heritage at our free, family event!

* Meet with local historians, discover their collections of ancient artefacts and learn more about the interesting history of Abbots Langley and Leavesden

* Create artwork to take home and add your memories to a living masterpiece in our 'Family Trees' art activity

* Be taken on a journey through time in our Living History guided walk through the grounds of Leavesden Hospitals, with actors in authentic costume

You can join in with our art activity and visit our local historian tables at any point during the day, however the guided walk will commence at 2pm from the event location.

Leavesden Heritage Day is a free, family event brought to you by Three Rivers District Council's Leisure Team and funded by Heritage Lottery Fund. In partnership with Abbots Langley Local History Society, Leavesden Hospitals History Association and Leavesden Players, the event aims to encourage residents from all over the district to visit the park and learn more about the local heritage, bringing history to life through sharing stories and celebrating memories in fun and exciting ways.

The event is also kindly supported by Hertfordshire Archives and Local Studies and Three Rivers Museum of Local History who will have visual displays and resources available on the day.
