Dance Re:Ignite (beee-skilled.co.uk/wp/dance-reignite/) is a dance framework that is driven by the belief that dance has a positive impact on mental and physical well-being. The one day festival celebrates dance for and by people over 55 in Hertfordshire. It celebrates the wealth of opportunities that already exist for people to get involved in dance but hopes to signpost others who are new to dance to opportunities to get involved. Participants take part in workshops, watch performances and meet new people with a shared interest in dance, under the training of professional dancers.
BEEE Creative worked in collaboration with University of Hertfordshire Arts, Herts Sports Partnership, Saracens Sport Foundation, Watford Borough Council, The Old Town Hall Hemel Hempstead and Dacorum Borough Council, to produce the Dance Re:Ignite festival.
The first Dance Re:Ignite festival took place on Friday 24 March 2017 at The Weston Auditorium, University of Hertfordshire, de Havilland Campus, Hatfield.
