Anna Fairchild: Brutal Dream

Brutal Dream is a new installation by artist and researcher Anna Fairchild, who lives and works Hitchin. Fairchild’s practice is an in-depth open-ended investigation into aspects of the natural and build environment. It uses rigorous experimentation principles with imaginative model making using direct casting process, and photographic practice and aims to balance an intuitive, embodied methodology with design and structure. This new body of work will see fragments from Letchworth’s overlooked urban environment imaginatively cast and explores how these urban forms and surfaces can re-shape our thinking about the future.

Brutal Dream is one of three new solo exhibitions featuring work by recipients of the 2023 Letchworth Open Bursaries.
