Reluctant Readers... MISCHIEF (Adult/Child) *HUDDS*

Reluctant Readers... MISCHIEF (Adult/Child) *HUDDS*

Do you know of a 'Reluctant Reader'? Perhaps a child or teen who simply avoids reading, or has dyslexia or another reason for not reading (too much screen-time?!)

This summer ALL children in the UK are being invited by their local libraries to get involved with the 'Making Mischief Summer Reading Challenge'. The Beano is supporting this initiative and reminding us that laughs and mischief are often the best way to hook someone onto the reading habit...

Kirklees Libraries however, have their own, very special young lady who - herself has dyslexia and who learned to fall in love with the written word, thanks to The Beano. This is a young lady who is keen to share her story with other kids and parents, on how she moved from 'Reluctant Reader' to 'Manic Book Worm'!

Join this inspiring teenager and her Mum - writer, Christina, to find out how you too can learn to love reading a bit more and to create some great ideas and strategies that might help your whole family to improve their enjoyment of life AND to increase chances of employment and wider achievements.
