Cockington Court Photography Competition
We are holding monthly guided photography tours of Cockington Court Craft Centre and Country Park. Our aim is to find the most stunning photographs for a 2014 Cockington Court Calendar.
This is a unique way to learn about photography, share tips and ideas and see the outstanding beauty of Cockington and it’s 460 acres of Country Park.
Photographer, Alan Salvidge, Chair of the Preston Photographic Club, has been taking photographs of Cockington for many years, will lead a group of 6 keen photographers around the estate taking photographs which can then be entered into a monthly competition for a chance to have their photograph featured in the calendar.
Visitors to Cockington Court Craft Centre who do not attend the guided tour may also enter up to three photographs at a cost of £5.00.
Top 30 monthly photographs (judged by Alan Salvidge and his committee), will be displayed in the Resource Centre information office where your votes can be registered. The winning 12 photos will make up 12 months of pictures for the 2014 Cockington Court calendar. A cash prize will be awarded to an overall winner from all entries received throughout the year. (The winner will be chosen by the Tenants and Management of Cockington Court Craft Centre).
The cost of the session will be £30.00. Free Parking and mid-morning refreshments are included. The first session will be Wednesday 11th July 2012 from 8am – 12 noon. Further dates are: Aug 8th, Sept 12th, Oct 10th, Nov 14th, Dec 12th, Jan 9th, Feb 13th, March 13th, April 10th, May 8th, June 12th.
