Actress/Pianist, Manic Chord Theatre

Manic Chord Theatre in association with Leeds International Piano Competition are seeking a West Yorkshire based female performer/musician to work on the Bradford Tour of a participatory show for Key Stage 1 pupils entitled 'Skylar's Missing Note.’ The show follows a young girl’s journey as she searches for her piano’s missing middle 'C' lost in transit during a house move. The production and music are already created so the role is to take the script and score back into the rehearsal room to get ready for touring.

The work will be developed in Leeds over two workshop rehearsal periods:

w/c February 17th 2020

w/c February 24th 2020

And will then be toured over 12 (potentially increasing to 20) primary schools on:

w/c 2nd March 2020

w/c 9th March 2020

w/c 16th March 2020

with potential w/c 23rd March 2020

Experience:

Experience working with music and high level competency playing the piano, reading music and keeping rhythm.
Ability to vocally hold a simple tune.
Experience working as part of a team and individually.
Experience devising and playing within a workshop setting.
Experience working with this age group is preferred but not essential.
A valid DBS certificate is also required for this position.

This role will be paid to ITC rates.
