Education and Outreach Officer, Kala Sangam Arts Centre

Kala Sangam is entering into an exciting phase and is looking to recruit an Education and Outreach Officer to join their team.

£18k pro rata PA (based upon 37 ½ hrs. full time)
Permanent contract, 22.5 hours per week

The post holder will become an active member of the team and working with the Creative Producer to support the Academy in it’s management, administration and promotion of all teaching programmes, manage and promote our extensive programme of outreach school and education activities and develop outreach and community partnerships through mutual collaboration opportunities.

Kala Sangam has been established for over 23 years and is based in a thriving arts centre, located in a Grade II listed building in Forster Square, Bradford. We work with a wide range of professional artists and companies promoting south Asian and intercultural arts annually, including music, dance, visual arts and drama. We reach out to all communities and endeavour to develop new audiences through our work.

Recently Kala Sangam has been investing in the building to develop new spaces for sustainability, refurbish facilities to attract creative, community and corporate bookings as well as energy conservation measures to reduce running costs. Hence this role comes at an exciting time and will contribute to the creative strategy and programming of the space.
