Recruitment of Private Sector Members for WYCA Committees

Recruitment of Private Sector Members for WYCA Committees

The Mayor of West Yorkshire with the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, in partnership
with the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (the LEP), are now recruiting new private sector members for the following Committees:

• Business, Economy and Innovation
• Climate, Energy and Environment
• Culture, Arts and Creative Industries
• Place, Regeneration and Housing
• Employment and Skills
• Business Investment Panel

It is an exciting time for the Combined Authority. Decisions previously taken in London will
now be taken in West Yorkshire, by people who know and understand the region and the places within it. They now have greater influence and ability to invest in the things that matter locally, such as better transport, skills, housing and regeneration for the 2.3 million
residents they serve. They’re looking for new committee members from the private sector
to help them achieve their ambitious plans for the region.

Full details of this opportunity and how to apply can be found at their website by following the link at the bottom of this page. Please note the closing date for Expressions of Interest is 20 May.
