Reflection - Open Call for Artists: Open Gallery, Halifax

A new Open Gallery is looking for artworks on the theme of "Reflection" for an exhibition in May/June 2022. The “Reflection” provides artists with a great opportunity to get greater exposure by exhibiting their work at the Open Gallery in front of a new audience. There will be a £100 prize for the winner from each category.

The Open Gallery is looking for artists to display 2D and 3D artworks in our new gallery space in Halifax. The gallery is due to open in May 2022 and this will be the second exhibition. The exhibition will run for 3 weeks from 28th May 2022.

Artists are invited to produce and submit original work on theme "Reflection". They will accept artwork from any individual artist who lives/works in the UK and will be able to deliver and pick up their artwork to/from the gallery.

Any two-dimensional art and not very big 3D work can be submited through the curatorspace.com, the work can be in any media: paintings, sculpture, photography, mixed media etc. on the theme "Reflection".

To Apply:

Free to apply. If accepted there will be a fee of £28 per artist.
Provide a short description of your work (250 words maximum) and how is connected to the theme "Reflection". It will be published in the art catalogue.
Price (if you would like to sell it), if your work is not for sale, please state NFS.
Size measurements if work is framed then the size of the frame in centimetres.

The work can be offered for sale during exhibition, there will be a commission charge of 15% of the sale price of each piece of art, to cover the admin costs.

If you accepted, your work will be exhibited at the Open Gallery, on the Open Gallery's website, social media channels and will be published in the art catalogue.

By taking part in the Exhibition you agree that your images can be used for any publicity material (social media and/or printed matter like flyers or posters, etc).

There will be a £100 prize for the winner from each category.
