Wakefield Council RECRUITMENT: Cultural Development Coordinator

Wakefield Council are looking for an individual to support the delivery of cultural development so that visitors and local people can access high quality services and cultural experiences.

Their goal, is that the Wakefield district is a place where new art is made, and creatives thrive. Their aim is to have accessible and inclusive engagement and participation in inspiring and high-quality creative activities across all communities in the district.

As part of the role, they would like an individual who can: - lead on administrative support for all workstreams of the Cultural Development team (arranging meetings, taking minutes, undertaking project research, managing databases and writing and reporting reports, support the project management of multiple and complex grant schemes and commissioning strands for cultural organisations and creatives in Wakefield district), arrange and record payments for all Cultural Development grants and commission fees (setting up new suppliers, updating budget records and tracking and organising payment processes using our finance software), collect and collate all evaluation data, ensure regular updates on cultural development’s work, and horizon scan partner organisations/networks that could benefit from information and contribute towards the development, review and updating of appropriate policies and procedures.
