Fun Palaces at Batley Library

Creative Scene is partnering with Kirklees Libraries this October to transform our libraries into Fun Palaces.

Experience your local library like never before in this celebration of arts, science and culture, with activities for all ages.

Immerse yourself in magical stories, try your hand at a range of arts and making activities or feed your thirst for knowledge with readings and talks.

Batley Library on Sat 14 October, 11am-3pm

Create eight or more pieces of art from the same stimulus in Johnny Woodhams’ Multimedia Speed Art workshop or turn old books into new creations in Johnny’s re-imagine Books session from 11am-3pm

Sharing their passion for chemistry and electricity, Love Science will show you how to make fizzy rainbows and LED torches amongst other science fun from 11am-3pm

Drop in anytime to have a go at Glass Painting or Creative Calligraphy with Zareena Bano

From 1pm-3pm, make your own alien puppet with Lou Summary and whilst you are at it, why not book for Creative Scene’s family show A Real Alien Adventure coming to Batley Bulldogs and Healey Community Centre this half-term

Fun Palaces run at various Kirklees Libraries between 7 – 27 October
