Personal Safety and Lone Working

Course Content:
In this this three-hour, interactive student-centred course, delegates will acquire the knowledge and skills to stay safe in the workplace, whilst travelling or during a home visit.
Learning Outcomes:
Participants completing this course will be able to:
Risk assess a situation
Review the contents of a Lone Worker Policy and explain the importance of recording incidents
Manage different lone working situations:-Outreach, Public Access Areas, Out of hours working
Manage unpredictability:- Respond positively and quickly to an incident, recognise the impact of body language and words and employ a method to defuse aggressive behaviour
About the Trainer:
Jon Clarke and Mark Sutton have extensive experience in a variety of operational and training roles and careers spanning over 30 years in the Metropolitan Police Service. For the last 6 years they have successfully delivered their Lone Worker and other courses to a number of third sector organisations in Herts and Bucks.
