Hertfordshire Festival of Music 2022 is now live!

Hertfordshire Festival of Music 2022 officially launched on 30th March with a special event for invited guests, supporters and local dignitaries, hosted by the artistic director and Trustees. Flautist Emma Halnan, who performs during this year's festival, gave a recital and Artistic Director James Francis Brown introduced this year's programme of artists and events.

Ben Goldscheider (French Horn) - Principal Artist. In addition to recitals during the Festival, Ben will be giving a free masterclass (open to all, Grade 8+)

Renowned British composer David Matthews is this year's Featured Living Composer. David's music will be performed during the Festival, including the premiere of a piece written especially for flautist Emma Halnan. David will also be "in conversation", talking about his life in music, his influences and inspirations, and much more.

Other highlights include - ZRI's Adventures with Charlie Chaplin, Maggini Quartet, Onyx Brass, Jubilee concert, violinist Mathilde Milwidsky with pianist Huw Watkins, Emma Halnan (flute) and Jake Hancher (guitar), Guy Johnston (cello) and Melvyn Tan (piano), plus events for families and schools.
