Herbert Howells Piano Quartet in A minor op 21

The Research Centre in Performance Practices ensemble-in-association present two seminal works for piano quartet in a style that incorporates early twentieth century British performing practices. Mozart’s quartet is considered the first major work for the ensemble, while Howell’s 1916 evocation of the Gloucester landscape was dedicated to his friend Ivor Gurney.
