Lowewood Museum tells the history of the borough of Broxbourne, capturing the unique stories of those who have lived and worked there.
Housed in a beautiful Georgian building dating from the 1750s, the collection includes geology, archaeology, social history, costume, photography and art. A museum has been at this site since 1936.
Following a review of its governance, management of the Museum has been transferred from Broxbourne Borough Council to an independent trust – The Lowewood Museum Trust CIO. With support from the Borough Council the museum is delivering a variety of exhibitions and events to reach out and engage with local communities.
