Kalandra & Robert Sharp live at Small Seeds

Kalandra

Kalandra is a band spearheaded by three Norwegian musicians with a shared passion for the strange. Together they weave the intricate melodies of singer Katrine Stenbekk into alluring patterns of wanderlust and fairytales

It’s been almost two years since they first started the journey of making the songs for their first EP in Liverpool, UK. The band was in and out of various studios whenever money allowed. And when it didn't, they recorded in their living rooms and rehearsal spaces. In between all this, they moved back to their motherland, and the EP was finally completed in Oslo, NO in 2016.
The tears, the joy, frustration and hard work put into making it, can be felt in the music.

Robert Sharp is a singer-songwriter based in Holmfirth. His diversity in musical style results from his involvement in various projects over the years, particularly in the punk band “The Coroners”. Branching out and working on his solo material, Robert's sound has been described as having a Nordic quality within his already enigmatic songwriting.
His intricate guitar work combined with his unique vocal style allows for an emotional engaging and melodically infectious listening experience.
His latest EP “Songs For The Sedative” features a variety of local musicians including two members of Inhumane, Coroners band mate Jim Mckercher and vocalist Danni Rivett.
