Spring Swish Clothes Swap Event

Our Spring Swish Clothes Swap Event is back for a season change. Get ready for Summer and refresh your wardrobe the sustainable way, for free by swapping, not shopping this Spring.
Would you like to find some lovely new pieces to enhance your Spring wardrobe, but don’t want to succumb to the lure of cheap, fast fashion to fill your drawers?
Then why not join us for Spring Swish Clothes Swap Event at the Southern Maltings on Friday 31 March?
During the evening you will be able to swap items you no longer wear, for some fabulous new summer pieces to add to your wardrobe, and have a drink in our event space while being entertained with some background music.
Grab a bunch of friends together and book your tickets for this fun and fab night of fashion!
How it works:
Swishing is a great way to update your wardrobe for FREE! You bring along clothes you no longer wear and swap them for somebody else’s.
Bring along your good quality clothing (max. 8 items) between 7pm -8pm.
The swap starts at 9pm!
Parking on site (free public carpark after 8pm)
The rules:
Maximum 8 items
-All items must be good quality – only bring what you would wish to take home
-Nothing too worn i.e. no bobbles, rips or stains
-Clothes, shoes and accessories only
-No jewellery, underwear, swimwear or children’s clothes
-All clothing will be inspected at drop off to ensure it conforms to our rules (any worn/bobbled, ripped or stained clothing will be returned to you and tokens deducted)
7-8pm – Drop off clothes and receive one token per item (max 8 items).
7-9pm– Enjoy some background music and drinks in our event space while clothes and accessories are all sorted.
9pm – Swishing starts! Exchange your tokens for something new. Use our changing rooms space to try anything you are unsure about.
Tickets are £5 per person and include a drink.

All clothes not swapped will be given to local charity shop MIND at the end of the swish.
Southern Maltings is the trading name of Ware Arts Centre Limited and is a registered charity (Registered charity no. 276998).

All events are run by volunteers and proceeds go towards developing the Southern Maltings into an amazing creative arts centre which will enable us to put on a wider and more frequent range of events and activities for the whole community.
