Come and Sing Faure's Requiem

An opportunity to learn Fauré’s Requiem in an afternoon, with the Master of the Music at St Albans Cathedral, for a performance at the Cathedral in the evening. Not only is this an opportunity to sing in a wonderful space with a renowned conductor, but it is also a chance to join in a community act of remembrance by singing this famous Requiem Mass setting on the eve of Remembrance Sunday and five days after the Feast of All Souls.

Tutor: Andrew Lucas, Master of the Music at St Albans Cathedral

Venue: Rehearsal at Dagnall Street Baptist Church, followed by run-through and performance at St Albans Cathedral.

Cost:

Singers: £12 (includes score hire and afternoon refreshments). Please book the correct ticket for your voice part (SATB) so that we can be aware of balance. If you are unsure of your voice part, please contact us or see here for advice. Singers are requested to dress smartly.

Audience: £3 to hear the performance.

Doors open: 2pm

Start time: 2.30pm rehearsal; 6.30pm performance

End time: 7.15pm (approximately)
