St Albans Folk Festival, September 25-27 2020

St Albans Folk Festival, September 25-27 2020

St Albans Folk Festival will take place from September 25 -27, after being postponed from June. It will mainly be online and will include a live-streamed concert featuring leading singer Fay Hield, a new and well-reviewed documentary film 'All my life's buried here’ about the composer, folk song collector and morris dancer, George Butterworth plus many free performances by singers and musicians from the local area.

At the festival conceert on September 27, Fay Hield will be singing songs from her new solo album. Wrackline, looks at traditional stories involving the 'otherworld' of fairies, ghosts and the animal kingdom, working through the imagination to make things real. Her planned launch tour for the album had to be postponed until September 2021, so the St Albans concert will be a rare opportunity to hear it now.
