The Barefoot Players present Julius Caesar

The Barefoot Players present Julius Caesar

William Shakespeare's classic Roman tragedy of politics, honour and betrayal is revived in a modern political setting.

Prime Minister Julius Caesar is at the height of his career, until a conspiracy is hatched by his cabinet to remove him from power.

An intense dramatisation of the psychological struggle between the conflicting demands of patriotism and friendship, it is especially fitting for 2012, in which national events such as the Jubilee and the Olympics promote anxieties about leadership, economy and the future of the country.
