Crafted: Artisan Cookery Fermentation for the Nation

The Craft of Artisan Cookery
10am - 4pm
£60

With Voirrey Watterson.
Fermented foods have been in existence for thousands of years, but only recently are we rediscovering these health-giving food and drinks in Western culture. Fermentation is still widely found across many cultures in the world, so we draw upon a wide range of foods from all over the world on the course.
Fermented foods are rich in beneficial bacteria, antioxidants, vitamins and enzymes found in our food and drink, so they are a great addition to our diets.
During the class, we will delve into the world of fermentation, and you will learn how to get started with fermenting at home, and the easiest equipment to use. The class will be a mixture of hands on cooking in small groups, demonstrations, with lots of tips, talking and tasting.
