Children can discover what life was like as a soldier at a second Roman-themed activity day at Tolson Museum, Huddersfield, on Wednesday, 15 August.
Activities will include looking at armour and learning about the clothes the soldiers wore underneath. Youngsters will also be able to make an Emperor’s wreath and a catapult and learn about the soldiers’ daily life by handling Roman objects.
The activity session runs from 12noon to 4pm and families can drop in at any time. The cost is £2 per child and no booking is necessary.
The activities are inspired by the museum’s Romans displays which families can take the opportunity to look at during their visit.
