Dawn Chorus & Spring Arrivals

Dawn Chorus & Spring Arrivals

Join local bird expert Mike Langman at Berry Head at his favourite spring location for a dawn chorus. The headland should be alive with birds just back from a winter in Africa desperately announcing their territories and hoping to attracting a mate. There may even be the chance of something special being found in early May. The frenetic Guillemot colony will be noisy with birds coming and going from their nesting ledges. The very best time to hear bird song and to witness migration in full swing is at sunrise, so it will be an early start. This is event is part of International Dawn Chorus Day. The event will be finished off with a delicious breakfast at The Guardhouse Cafe, Berry Head. Breakfast includes the full Monty, tea or coffee, toast, butter & homemade marmalade.
