Level Up! in music production
Join YSWN for an inspiring and empowering day of practical music workshops, professional development talks, practice-sharing and networking.
Aimed at all women, non-binary and gender non-conforming people with an interest in music & music production, highlights include:
- Hands-on DJing with DJ Angel Lee
- Ableton workshops with Emily J Electric
- Fundraising professional development session with Steph Graham from Adapt for Arts
- Presentations on funding opportunities for musicians from Elizabeth Sills from the PRS for Music Foundation
- Talk by Chloe Pensavalle from Annex Booking Agency
- 1-2-1 career development meetings with Elizabeth Sills and Chloe Pensavalle
- Women in music production expo with performances and practice-sharing
- Networking opportunities to make new contacts and explore the difference you can make across your networks.
YSWN has a number of bursaries available of up to £50 each to support travel costs for attendees to take part and share their practice via a stall or perform during the day’s expo event. Contact info@yorkshiresoundwomen.com if you’d like to get involved.
Attendees are also warmly invited to attend Sound Women 2019, an evening of music song and words organised by Women Centre at Small Seeds from 7.30pm.
YSWN Level Up! is funded by Kirklees Council via the Leeds City Region Business Rates Pool, a partnership project with the Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy Programme hosted by the University of Huddersfield Department of Music and Drama.
