Liv Torc Liv Torc - Stand-up Poet, Comedian, Writer

Liv Torc is a stand-up poet, wondermentalist and comedian, who seeks the humanity and absurdity within the human condition and when she finds it, she strips it naked and kicks it…

The very recent winner of the south west heat of the National Radio 4 Poetry Slam 2009 and the very latest bard of Exeter, Liv has shared a stage with Andrew Motion, Murray Lachlan Young, John Hegley and Matt Harvey, working for and with the Wondermentalist Cabaret, Apples and Snakes and Phrased and Confused.

She is the quietly proud author of ‘Take Your Monkey and Get out of My Life’, a shiny yellow book of quirky joy that Andrew Motion personally requested in front of a large audience at Ways With Words 2009 - although he won't admit to it officially (because he doesn't do that kind of thing).

Liv is available to perform at a very reasonable price and is a guaranteed crowd shaker, and laughter extractor. She also has a 2 woman show 'For Our Sins' (with the lovely Beryl the Feral) that packed the great hall at Dartington's Ways with Words Festival 09.

Alongside all this personal poetic gratification, Liv hosts open mic nights and cabarets all over the South West and tries her best to support the poetry scene and emerging poetic talent.
