Early Medieval Charters of North Herts - Evening Talk

Join us for an evening talk with Keith Fitzpatrick-Matthews discussing the charters of North Herts.

The Early Middle Ages are often known as the Anglo-Saxon period; at a time, land transfers were accompanied by documents signed by kings, bishops, nobles and local dignitaries. Our earliest local documents date from this period and some contain Old English descriptions of estate boundaries.
