Festive Garland Workshop for adults, by Anna Ray

Festive Garland Workshop for adults, by Anna Ray

Take home your own festive garland.
5th Dec 2021 at 2:30pm
£25 per person

Anna Ray often takes inspiration for her artworks from hand made objects that she has seen or collected over the years. In this workshop you will make a garland inspired by a vintage French decoration that Anna once found in an antique shop, made out of rope and scraps of cloth. In this two and half hour workshop you will create your own bright and textural garland using cotton, acrylic paint, brushes and rags. At the end of the session all of the garlands will be photographed together as a work of art. During the workshop you will have time to visit the Fibre and Form exhibition with Anna when you have the opportunity to ask questions about her work.

This event will take place in the Assembly Room of St Albans Museum + Gallery which is wheelchair accessible. Please get in touch at museum@stalbans.gov.uk to let us know about any access needs. This event is for adults.

Please note that due to the materials used in the production of the garland - cotton fabric and acrylic paint - it is flammable. KEEP AWAY FROM FIRE.
